How C King Came To Be
Christie King, a fourth generation auctioneer, started her career in the auction industry in 1987 when she joined her family auction business, J.P. King Auction Company. Even though J. P. King’s focus is high-end real estate auctions, non-profit organizations would frequently inquire for an auctioneer to conduct their events. In the mid 1990’s, Ms. King began working with benefit auctions.
After working with J. P. King full time for over 20 years, Ms. King felt the pull towards a bigger mission. In 2006, her focus changed to that of “giving back”, and she started assisting non-profit organizations and private schools with their fundraising needs. In 2007 Ms. King began her benefit auction company. “I love meeting with clients, hearing their goals, and helping them accomplish and even surpass them. By using the auction method of fund-raising, getting the right people to the events, and obtaining the right items, the sky is the limit,” says Ms. King. “It is my desire at C King Benefit Auctions to educate non-profit organizations in how to plan and execute a successful fund-raising event. I realize it is more than just bringing people together, but bringing them together for a common cause with the desire to make a significant difference.”
