Branding Out Loud

As a nonprofit, what thought are you giving to branding at your events?

Most nonprofits have a few signs around with their event logo on it. And maybe they do a good job with branding on the PowerPoint used during the evening.  But are you carrying it all the way through?

Here’s something to consider.

We recently worked an event where I felt the nonprofit did an excellent job with their branding.  Not only did they do the normal informative signage and PowerPoint slides, they did an excellent job in branding all of the way through the event.  They had great branding on the silent auction bid sheets.  They also had a step and repeat backdrop ablaze with their event logo.

My favorite branding strategy at this event was their use of the event logo on the extra revenue generators. They had their event logo on every bag in the Wine Pull.

This group had a caricature artist drawing portraits of the guests for a small cost which generated additional revenue for the nonprofit. The guests loved this and had a lot of fun with this activity. When completed, the purchased drawings were put in a plastic bag that had the event logo on it.

Guests were surrounded by branding everywhere. I loved it!

Go the extra mile and think about how you can brand your event AT your event.
